| The Glove Tree is an event that was started in 2007 by members of the Baltimore City Fire Department Honor Guard The event officially kicks off in November when boxes are placed in each members fire house,each box is used to collect donations of new hats, gloves and scarves. On December 1st. A Christmas tree is placed in the main lobby at the Baltimore City Fire Departments Headquarters, under that tree are boxes to accumulate donations of hats, gloves and scarves and anything else that can be used to distribute to the women and children of My Sister's Place With the support of the Honor Guard members, the Fire Department Command Staff and all members throughout the Baltimore City Fire Department this event will be a tradition for many years to come |
